Preferred leadership style, managerial and entrepreneurial inclination among Hungarian students

Abstract Although a great deal of research has been done on leadership styles, and university students have often the subject exploratory in social sciences, Full Range Leadership model applied to young people only few instances. In this article, authors seek survey preferred styles among Hungarian explore how they correlate with managerial entrepreneurial inclination. A complex analysis style preferences combined their inclination, cultural resources is rare practice so far. The online questionnaire used was completed by 335 studying economics, engineering studies both Budapest country. students. results are amend existing typologies at some points. Based Multifactor Questionnaire featuring 36 self-rating items, four distinct emerged within target group, representing transformational, supportive, defensive, laissez-faire types. multivariate shown that while inclination related transformational leadership, aspirations associated supportive styles.
